Guard The Area: Vaporize Invaders

In the depths of space, a fragile bond holds humanity’s last hope together.

You control the final defensive vessel protecting a living world: the SUPER EARTH, humanity’s last refuge. Your ship, Resourceful, is tethered to the planet by a cutting-edge energy cable a lifeline that binds your fates together.

This connection is more than physical. It is a constant exchange of life and power. The planet forges ammunition for your ship… but at a cost. Every shot you fire drains its life.

In return, you must provide what it needs to survive: a mysterious liquid known as “017”, and the recovery of lost orbital satellites.

Prepare to fight against overwhelming odds. The enemy is launching its final assault. Corrupted planets spawn relentless alien forces, each wave stronger than the last, determined to wipe out the final remnants of humanity.

Every human life lost weakens your ship’s ability to fight.

But there is still hope. Hidden deep within enemy planets lie the last 9 captured satellites. Your mission is clear: destroy alien forces, annihilate their planets, and reclaim these lost relics. Once returned through the cable, they will orbit your world, forming a powerful defensive system.

Protect your planet.

Wage war in the void.

Your ship depends on the planet.

The planet depends on you.

Everything is a resource.

Very cool rope

The shot is weird. The division into two branches of projectiles seems to be against intuitive, because it doesn't get where I really want to.
The commands of the "Asteroid" or "Old Resident Evil" ship make the ship difficult to control for not much.
I can totally ignore the waves of enemies, which are too numerous anyway to be shot (not counting the difficulty of aiming) and destroy the 9 planets.
The Earth's land is enough on its own without being defended.

A WASD displacement for the spacecraft would be appreciated.

A more intuitive shot on focus and faster projectiles (I can almost catch up with the ship's speed)

That alone would be very cool.

I finished the game on my 2 try.

Thank's for the feedback, we appreciate it.
This game was made for a Game Jam, we did it in 42 hours.
Personally I did the rope, what did you think about it ? :)
